Often, life after baby is not how you imagined it. You may be anxious, having trouble sleeping, afraid to take your eyes off your sleeping infant. You may feel down, emotional, and unsure of yourself. You're not alone. 1 in 5 new or expecting mothers/birthing people suffer from a PMAD (perinatal mood and anxiety disorder) otherwise known as postpartum depression. This group provides space for new moms/gestational parents to discuss the honest, real and hard parts of motherhood/parenthood. The first few weeks and months with a new baby can be a time of great change. Even when all is going well, many families can use additional support. This parent support group provides a welcoming, non-judgmental space for new parents to share, heal, learn coping skills, and connect with others who are going through the same thing. Babies are welcome.

This group is offered monthly.

Cost: FREE

Location: Pennsylvania Hospital
Building/Floor: Penn Parenting Resource Center, PAH, Garfield Duncan Bldg., 700 Spruce Street; Suite B-3, Philadelphia PA 19106, If you wish to join virtually, you can do so using this link:, zoom.us…, Meeting ID: 912 2115 1721, Passcode: 1234
Room: B-03
Audience: Patients
Type of Event: Informational Session, Patient Education, Support & Networking Group
Sponsor: Women’s ServicesWomen's Health PAHhttp://uid.trumba.com/event/170731094BABY CARE BASICS at PAHTuesday, April 23, 2024, 6 – 8:30pm

Boost your confidence as a new parent by learning safe and comfortable ways to care for, swaddle, diaper and bathe your baby.

Sponsor: Women’s ServicesWomen's Health PAHhttp://uid.trumba.com/event/171691958eClass Understanding Birth (Online)Tuesday, May 21, 2024

Understanding Birth e-Class.
This engaging, evidence-based online program is available for you and a partner to enjoy from the safety and convenience of your own home.

Sponsor: Women’s ServicesWomen's Health PAHhttp://uid.trumba.com/event/171691963eClass Understanding Birth (Online)Tuesday, June 25, 2024

Understanding Birth e-Class.
This engaging, evidence-based online program is available for you and a partner to enjoy from the safety and convenience of your own home.
