One lucky person will be picked to draw from a deck of cards and if you pull the joker, you win the $500. Here’s what’s cool. If the person doesn’t pick the joker, they walk away with a pretty cool prize, but we then rip up that card and then we add $100 to the pot for next week. In sharing their stories of Conroy, his fellow writers honor his memory and advance our shared understanding of his lasting impact on 20th- and 21st-century literary life in and well beyond the American South. Featured writers for this discussion are co-editor Jonathan Haupt and novelists Stephanie Austin Edwards and John Warley. Each author in this collection shares a slightly different view of Conroy.
